The aim of this project is to tell the story of women who have come to a new country, had a family, and built a life in a new land.
The intention of this project is to highlight the common ties between the lives of women from elsewhere in the world regardless of their origin.
What this entails:
- Portraits of you and your children in your home space
- I’d like to conduct a recorded audio interview with you, to transcribe to text. I will send through interview questions in advance, so you can consider your responses. But I will ask that you don’t answer them via email, as I’d like the spirit of your responses to come through in your voice.
What I am going to do with your pictures and words:
The intention of this project is to have it published:
- On this site
- Eventually, in book form, and
- I’d also like to submit this project to magazines when it is sufficiently matured. This is a long term aspiration, and I will keep you apprised of any developments in this space.
What you get out of it
You get prints of the photos I take of you and your family, in exchange for your time and generosity.
